It was the first time (and the long wait) that Brady was appearing on the front cover of Madden the QB was once again to find himself in the middle of postseason tension. After a season where Brady led the league in passing attempts and yards, Brady won his third MVP award but fell in a heartbreaker to the out-of-nowhere Eagles who were led by spot starter Nick Foles, who replaced the team's MVP winner, Carson Wentz. While this would mark Brady's 3rd Super Bowl defeat in eight attempts, he was not done winning them all the way to the finish line.
By the time Madden 19 was released, Brady was supposed to have reached the end of the road at 40 years old, but he was still playing like the best quarterback in the game. This was evident when it came to his Madden rating since he earned a seat at the 99 club for the fifth time in his career. The typical Madden launch will have six to seven players rated 99 overall. Brady was by far the oldest player in the current time.
He shattered all expectations of what a pro QB's career path is supposed to look like, and it was all capped off with yet another Super Bowl win as a Patriot. In a surprisingly forgettable game and a surprisingly boring game, the Patriots took on the Rams via a 13-3 final score that wasn't asking for much from Brady for a shift. It would be his last Super Bowl as a Patriot but, amazingly, not his last overall.
Brady's 99 overall seasons were gone for good eventually, however, he was still the best on gridirons, real as well as virtual. His final season with the Patriots ended in the first week of the playoffs . a collection of former Patriots that were then playing for the Titans, beat him in Foxboro It looked like the Pats-Brady partnership was at an end.
But Brady was not finished with the game just yet, despite the fact that his home away from home was asking him to leave. With only 24 touchdowns that year, Brady's mediocre numbers were to blame for his drop in ratings in Madden in the following year, but we'd come to learn that what Brady was lacking was a roster that had several more impressive targets.
