Furthermore, Blizzard is looking to improve the rate of players earning Legendary sets and other items so that D2R Items players who have been lapsed will be able to more quickly increase their Combat Rating and be able to participate in more advanced content.

"In Immortal's current form there's a scenario where the player is able to catch up in terms of experience, however their Combat Rating remains too low to be able to participate in many activities." Blizzard notes.

While catch-up system improvements won't be in place immediately, other adjustments are. Players are soon able to change the appearance of their characters and stay in a group to take on multiple Helliquary raid bosses come the next big update for Diablo 2 Resurrected , which is slated to arrive December 14.
