U4GM Diablo 4 Goblin Rift Stash and Salvage Guide

In Diablo IV's Season 16 PTR, a reported Pit 105 goblin floor had a stash and blacksmith for handling drops without returning to town. The encounter can yield equipment, but Diablo 4 Items from any source should be judged against the slots your character needs.

    Using the stash and blacksmith

The stash and blacksmith let you sort and salvage loot inside a Pit goblin floor, keeping inventory space available without a town trip. In the reported tier 105 encounter, an estimated 20 to 30 Treasure Goblins appeared on one floor, creating plenty of items to inspect. The facilities help you handle that volume; they don't make the drops better. Decide which equipment could fill a needed slot before salvaging, and put promising pieces in the stash for a closer comparison. The encounter and its facilities predate Season 16: patch 3.0.2 added stashes and anvils for Pit Goblin Hordes.

    1) Travel to Cerrigar in Scosglen and use the Artificer's Obelisk to open a Pit run at a tier your character can comfortably clear.

    2) Continue through the run even if the opening floor looks ordinary, since earlier versions placed goblin floors after a normal first floor.

    3) When a goblin floor appears, collect its drops, set aside possible upgrades in the stash, and salvage equipment you've ruled out.

    Sorting a large loot pile

A large loot pile offers more pieces to check, but it doesn't guarantee an upgrade for your character. Earlier Pit goblin floors produced equipment and charms alongside gems, runes, Obols, keys, and crafting materials. That mix can help when several slots need attention, while a player seeking one specific item may find little to keep. On a previously reported Pit 20 floor on Torment 2, a large haul included only a handful of Ancestral items and one Greater Affix piece. Check item quality and useful attributes before deciding how much of the haul deserves stash space.

    ● Keep a short list of the slots and attributes your character needs, so a crowded inventory doesn't turn every drop into a keeper.

    ● Separate Ancestral and Greater Affix pieces from the total item count when reviewing a floor, since volume alone can hide weak results.

    ● Salvaging unwanted equipment frees room for later drops, but check uncertain pieces first because the materials can't substitute for an item you needed.

Reality check: The tier 105 goblin count came from one reported encounter, so it isn't a reliable forecast for every floor.

    Spawn and PTR limits

The convenience of an in-dungeon stash doesn't make goblin floors a dependable farming route. No spawn rate, guaranteed trigger, fixed goblin count, or minimum Pit tier has been confirmed. Earlier encounters appeared as low as Pit 20, so tier 105 isn't established as a requirement. Season 16's War Plans Tactics can favor Pit activities in your plans, but there's no verified effect on goblin-floor frequency. Choose Tactics points for activities and rewards you want, and treat a goblin floor as a bonus. PTR characters and their earnings don't transfer to the live game.

    ● The announced PTR window runs from October 27 at 10 a.m. PDT to November 3 at 10 a.m. PST and is PC only.

    ● A fresh PTR character can use Mrak's boosts near the main city waypoint, including level 70 and unlocked Torment tiers, before entering.

    ● If repeated Pit runs produce no goblin floor, switch to a repeatable activity that gives your character useful gear more consistently.

    Choose your next upgrade

Before clearing another Pit run, check which slots need upgrades and which drops you can safely salvage. For live-game gear planning, you can review Diablo 4 Items for sale alongside the specific pieces your setup needs, while treating PTR finds as separate from live progress.
