Brady did not score more than 24,500 passing yards in the season, but the season would be the last time that anyone could call Brady a "system QB."Brady's 2007 season already started with lots of promise but by the end of the year it would turn into one among the most impressive statistical seasons of any quarterback in NFL history.

Alongside Randy Moss, who had been through a few mediocre years in Oakland after a few incredible years as a Minnesota Viking, Brady set record-breaking NFL records for passes TDs in a single season. He had an even 50. He surpassed Peyton Manning's previous record set the previous season by just one touchdown.

Brady did throw a good portion of the passes to Moss his own, and established an incoming TD record of his own in that same season when the Patriots continued to be the first team to achieve 16-0 records in the league's history.

Unfortunately for Brady along with Patriots Nation there was a brutal offensive inside and an ridiculous end-of-game David Tyree catch resulted in the Pats being unable to complete the perfect 19-0 year, after which Brady experienced his first Super Bowl defeat of his career against his team, the New York Giants.

In 2008, Brady surely had an ember burning under his seat. In a bid to return to glory following a devastating victory over G-Men G-Men, Brady wouldn't get to prove his star-studded roster could get back to that promised place. He would suffer a first-half knee injury due to Chiefs security Bernard Pollard, and would suffer a lengthy absence for all season.
