The Madden 22 ratings being released on Wednesday, the Ravens All-Pro tight end garnered the highest score of his career as an 88 overall. Only Travis Kelce (99), George Kittle (96), and Darren Waller (93) were recognized with higher ratings.
Entering his fourth NFL season, Andrews' rating has increased in each of his three seasons with the league. Andrews aged 75, a newcomer from Oklahoma was the third-highest rated rookie in Madden 19. This group of players included fellow Ravens 2018 draftee Hayden Hurst. His score rose four points to a high of 79 following a strong debut season. Then he exploded in the 2019 season, racking up a league record 10 touchdown receptions for a TE. He also added seven more places to be an 86.
Andrews was ranked eighth in the NFL with 86 yards despite him clearly becoming a more superior receiver than Greg Olsen (also an 85) or Evan Engram (88).
Madden, who's now 88 years old, has rightly affirmed Andrews his status as a premier target in the redzone and pass catcher as a tight end. While he has become more of an obstructor of runs last season, with Nick Boyle out injured, Andrews still was able to catch 58 passes and seven touchdowns, gaining 701 yards.
Andrews skilled rating of 86 for speed, 90 acceleration, 79 strength 80 agility and 96 awareness makes it clear why he's been Lamar Jackson's most sought-after target over the past few seasons.
