The new shot meter within NBA 2K22 is designed to assess the accuracy of your shots throughout a match. So, you won't need large meters to make a perfect perfect if you have two players on your side at the point beyond which you can shoot, rather than a wide mid-range shot.
2K wants you to make smarter choices when setting up for shots, instead of relying on your juiced shooting abilities to get you through to the end. The shot meter will appear pretty much similar to previous years it is expected to directly change based on the shooting quality mentioned above.
